Pin hole in my radiator help

Ok so I'm out in central Florida and go off roading quite a bit. I haul ass and do about 30-50 mph and take small jumps and stuff. This is my second radiator that is leaking. I have a skid plate (stock) and have bull bar as well not the one that bolts on all the way on the bottom like a Westin. Mine bolts near the bottom and through the grill.... Please help I don't know why I keep doing this. How can I get this to stop happening. Should I weld a crash guard? Buy a heavy duty radiator? Please help especially u Baja guys thanks

 

is it just possible your having bad luck?.......or are you actually getting debri up in it to cause the pin hole?

 

Where is it leaking from?

 

Well I can't really tell its not overheating but the drips of water are from the passenger side bottom corner

your probably putting a lot of stress on the radiator while "hauling ass and takin small jumps and stuff" which is causing the radiator to crack

 

I have not been jumping or off roading lately, but during my last maintenance routine I found my radiator real loose, (no work every done to lead to this?) and thought if I had been doing any off roading lately what damage may have developed? These trucks are abused by many on this site without reported radiator issues, so it could be as mentioned bad luck or?

 

first off, you cant really state that "these trucks are abused by many" because i know of more people that baby their trucks rather than destroying them. i personally wouldnt abuse a $30k truck and i dont think anybody else will either. second off, radiators are made of very thin, shitty alloys or very thin copper. it doesnt take much to crack a radiator. im a generator mechanic in the air force and i see cracked/leaking radiators weekly

 

Only radiator problem I have had is when I left a wrench sitting on the engine and closed the hood. Left the neighborhood and the fan sent the wrench through the radiator.
