What are you looking for? A crawler, just something to go fast and bash around with. Traxxas is a good place to start as there ready to run kits come with everything you need to get going.

Just something to take it in the dirt, launch it off some jumps....basically, yea, just bash it around. BUT, I would like to build it. I'd rather not get a pre-built one. I think half of the fun would be building it all up.

Axial has the Exo which has not been released yet but looks to be very promising. Team Associated also has multiple kits that you could look into. The short course trucks are pretty popular right now and would be a good fit for what you are looking for.

If u want to build it then the axial exo ia good start. Then go brushless and a 4slipo. You will have crazy power and some decent run time. And hobbyking.com is a good place to get good cheap stuff.
