Truck will be full with 5 people and i need the stuff in the bed to stay dry. That's funny. I'm at Snowshoe now, and I'm from Baltimore.

Things were ok yesterday but got pretty rough towards the end of the day (icy in the middle with thick choppy stuff on the edges). It snowed some first thing this morning but switched to rain/sleet before the slopes opened. I'm just laying low inside today. It should be switching to snow later today and tonight so hopefully we get some good snow tonight. We'll see.

My buddy that works up here says Silver Creek is where it's at. Smaller crowd, better snow. They can apparently use chemicals to make snow down there that they can't use at Snowshoe because it drains into the drinking water source for the resort.

Silver Creek is part of Snowshoe. Your lift ticket gets you on at either place. Silver Creek is just smaller and further down the mountain. They have shuttles that run between the two all day long.

They add some chemical (I don't know what, specifically) to the water that aids in the man-made snow making process. I don't know how it works.
