    Anyone changed the nose drive oil on a 1GR TRD S/C?

    I've so far found very little on this topic for the 1GR. Here's something Gadget put together for the 3.4L;
    http://www.gadgetonline.com/SuperNose.htm

    I've got 25K on my S/C and wondering if the same recommended 30K holds true for the 1GR setup. Anyone have specifics on the location of the drain plug and type of oil it takes? It would be sweet if this could be done without removing the S/C from the motor...

    Toyota sells an oil specific for the supercharger, the part number is 08885-80108, well at least in Canada it is. As for where the drain plug is, I don't know that answer.

    Highly unlikely of a drain. On my super coupe I used a large syringe to suck out the old fluid and refill it with new.

    JKlam - thanks for the part number! Will do some more research to see if I can find an acceptable substitute. I found some for $37/bottle and I'm reading its only for a few ounces, so the stuff is quite expensive.

    Cool :) I just got a motorcycle fork oil level tool. Its basically a large syringe with a long and thin plastic tube. Should work nicely.

    Now...just need to locate the plug and find out how much oil this thing needs!

    If that is an eaton s/c which I think it is then any oil for an eaton s/c will work. Ford sell a 4 ounce bottle just for the lightnings I dont have a price for it though.
