    Hey guys,

Just curious as to what the SR5/Base shocks are supposed to look like. I have a 2011 base model, but I compared the "look" of my shocks to my co-workers TRD shocks and I cannot tell the difference. Both are yellow with the blue sleeve. I was under the impression the SR5/Base shocks were supposed to be black, not yellow.

Not that this really matters, I'm more curious then anything. But even in the buy/sell here when people sell there SR5 shocks they are black... Could I maybe have gotten lucky and got the TRD shocks?

    Thanks in advance

TRD Bilstein shocks have the "Bilstein" label on them. Yellow paint doesn't meant anything.

BTW, there's nothing "magical" about the TRD Bilsteins. The Bilstein 5100 shocks commonly used for lifts have better valving, yet they are pretty inexpensive. (DSM sells them at $300 for a set of four.)

EDIT: Canadian trucks may be configured differently.

oh no, I am not worried at all about having them. I couldn't care less to be honest... I'll be upgrading my suspension in the near future. I was just curious more then anything.

And yes, mine do say "Bilstein" right on the label.
