    1Draino is real bad for your pipes.
    2metal (castiron,copper etc) is expensive and is only needed in certain instances.. IE breezway in malls or public building because of the hazardous gasses from burning PVC
    3no but a 40 dollar toilet auger from HD or lowes can.

    40 bucks isnt bad that is for a ridgid and a plumber charges about $125 to do it for you

    they really dont use ABS any more. dwv.. is Drain Waste Vent Cast is cast iron PVC is preferred over copper on drains cant rust out
