I see most here tend to mod their Tacomas. This May I will have my truck for 10 years and I have fought the urge to mod it. The only "mods" I have done to mine is a topper, step bars, vent shades, spray in bedliner and a K&N air filter. Out of curiosity, who (besides myself) keeps their truck bone stock?

my 2001. I bought it brand new, and added a shell, a bullbar with hellas, twin exhaust, and rhinoliner in the bed. Oh and I did the "elbow mod" too-I think that makes it not "bone stock" though right?

It's like us old faithful original owners of first-genners are stuck in a boneyard here though.

Mine had been stock for a long time. I only had the nerf steps and bug defector. I have recently added the bull bar, and then painted the steps, bull bar, bumpers, fender flares magnetic gray two-tone, and added smoked headlights.
So, I guess it is not completely stock anymore, but the suspension and drivetrain is stock.

Almost bone stock except for Line-X, Aftermarket Head unit, and Window Tint. Not a fan of molesting/butchering rattle canning anything on my truck.

Noticing that all of these bone stock people are pre runners...possibly because the pre runners don't get offroaded like the 4wds do....:notsure: I like modding my truck, its fun. And most of the mods people put on their trucks are to make them better offroad.

Not me, I plan on keeping my 4x4 mostly stock. It's actually the reason I bought a TRD. I wanted to keep it as low and stock as possible with the most capability. Same reason I got duratracs in a stock size. I'm all about maximizing traction while maintaining all of the nice on road drivability of a stock truck.

Stock trucks are nice and all. But I perfer making my truck "mine" in its own ways. I like to know that there isnt a single truck out there like "mine". But I do respect the stockers in their own way. :)
