    How is this relevant?
Instead of getting defensive about your beliefs and making derogatory comments, post something constructive supporting your claims regarding why Evolution should be taught instead of Creationism.

Man's use and abuse of his Religion has brought so much trouble to the world. It is too often crutch for the self-righteous and the worlds evil-doers in my opinion.

Smile on your brother and act with the consciousness of spirit. We don't need religion, we need love, tolerance and acceptnce that comes along with it!

The Catholic Church believes and even teaches evolution, they have for over 50 years. Evolution does not interfer with the Cathilic dogma, there is most likely other religions that include it as well.

since its highly unnecessary to quote every text that has been written supporting evolution i'll just let you watch a couple of clips of very some intelligent people discussing this topic.

I was raised a Christian Catholic, through my own life experiences, both good and bad and some near death ones, I have come to create my own version of beliefs based on what I've seen. Basically, no religion is correct. By organizing religion and bringing it to the masses you are merely providing a local for people to come express their own beliefs. I fully believe someone not raised in religion at all but lives using basic human compassion can still be a better person then one raised to believe in god but shuns his fellow man. You are absolutely right.there are a FEW scientists who are believers and I'm sure they know a lot more than me in many areas.I simply respect science much more than faith based explanations because science can be demonstrated and proven.Faith is belief in something despite the absence of proof which in turn makes it much harder to believe.that is the difference between atheists and believers.Atheists do not claim to have all the answers nor do we claim to know FOR SURE how we got here whereas believers do.

Well, I tend to be more open minded. Science theory is dissproven all the time, it isn't perfect, but this is ok as it is conveniently part of the scientific method. Your own point actualy condradicts itself, point being there are top Scientist who believe in a God, they have a deep faith that a higher being exists without any scientific method dissproving or proving it. Who are we to decide who is right or wrong? Personally, I tend to see Aethiests just as close minded and antagonistic with this subject as die hard religious fanatics.

Oh, and for those linking videos debating the subject like an above poster, I see it as a really weak way to make a point. Ther are countless and viable opinions on both sides that we could link ad naseum and clutter the thread. I find it a very poor way to justify a point, use your own thoughts and share them without showing off your cut and paste skills.

So i cant share videos of very multiple knowledgeable people because it says i cant think for myself, while religions whole reasoning comes from one fictional characters ramblings.

Read into that what you will, my point stands. There are countless "very multiple knowledgeable" (lol) people who can debate the religious side as well. There is no need to show you found something via google to share with the community, it just shows you can not articulate your own ideas. We can all cut and paste, and it's a good thing you are the only one cluttering up the thread with it. Oh, and make your point without upsetting or belittling others if you are capable. Again, I am a non-believer but would not choose to insult someone's religion. I wish both sides could learn to do this.

Since everyone can cut and paste videos, how about you show me one. Then i might accept your point. Also it should not be upsetting or belittling if i am only pointing out you are wrong, would you be so upset if this was about any other topic?

I am not going to cut and paste anything as I am above it, you win, and your dad can beat up my dad too. However, if you think some of the worlds greatest thinkers now and throughout history, with minds far far greater than your or mine, are wrong for beleiving in God, then you are sorley mistaken, unaware, or uneducated.

I am a non-beliver. I choose to be open minded, and respect the faith of those who do not think like I do. Docbrown, for example, has shown an unbeleivable amount of insight and restraint in this thread, I appreciate religious people like him. Unfortunately, there are those who want to argue who is right and who is wrong, and the thread derails into childish bantering. Those who have something to share, please do in a mature way, lets not get this shut down. I think we can all learn something from it.

This is ridiculous, all you are doing is deflecting everything i say, calling it childish and insulting. How about we start again, can you answer this for me, what is so different between listening and learning from the videos i posted, and your quote here. " if you think some of the worlds greatest thinkers now and throughout history, with minds far far greater than your or mine, are wrong for beleiving in God, then you are sorley mistaken, unaware, or uneducated."
