There is no need to be expressing your feelings on here. If you have a problem with your command, take it up with your command. Don't become a baby for all of TW to see and judge us.

Obviously your not a "Lifer". Some people make different choices than others.

I was told by a very smart person ( my wife ) everyone drives their own cars. And that you can't drive them where they are going in life.
As long as I remember this I get along with most people......

Pardon my ignorance I never severed, but I would think they would leave the DI mentality at Parris Island/San Diego.

Mostly it is left there, but it is still ingrained in you and it will take a little time for it to mellow out. Not a problem, just a little distraction for a while.
It takes time for any group, unit of people to become aclimated to each other.

True this is the off topic discussion, but you are talking about yours and mine Marine Corps. We roll with the punches so don't complain. You are not judging anyone, I said so everyone else would not judge us.

Bottom line what I am saying is don't complain about the Marine Corps it makes us look bad.

Can't worry to much about everyone judging you. Your a Marine and are going to be judged for everyone's little or big mistakes. We take it on the chin and come back for more.

    Good Marines never look bad.

Yeah sometimes we get bad press...but don't let that bother you.

And for you out there that are reading this and don't understand we are a brotherhood that won't quit. We are proud and justifiably so. We are not the slow stupid or dumb that some portray us to be.

im in the airforce, or will be when i leave for boot camp on the 21st. and from what i have seen of the marines around my neighborhood, you guys are real Americans and i would be proud to shake your hands.
And what you guys are saying about smart marines yes yes you are. many marines i have talked to about air control are very very smart. i thank you for your service and negative press is all about shock value. you guys keep America safe first. hands down. Im glad ill be in good company when i get deployed.
My family are retired Airforce and they say your never safer then when surrounded by a regimen of Marines.

When your comparing weather to Calif. or Ariz. your right but the east coast is a place you need to see. When I was at Le Jeune we could go anywhere on the east coast for about 10 dollars. We had a place called swoop circle that was basicly a carpool hangout for rides going up and down the east coast. Want to go to N.Y. no problem. Got the weekend free and want to go to Fl. no problem.

Don't let others form your oppinions for you.

North Carolina does have some heavy humidity, but you aclimate.
