Almost failed inspection due to tinted tails

    I was due for inspection this month so I went to my local mom & pops to have it done. The guy almost failed my truck because of the tinted tails. He said the reflector cannot be covered in tint and that the lights had to be red even when not illuminated.

    I only passed because he had already entered the new sticker information into the computer and the lense had the D.O.T. on them (of course, these were just stock lenses with the VHT spray on them).

    Just FYI for you other Texans out there!

    yeah, seems they are starting to be more strict about little things , my girlfriend almost didn't pass because she has rims that don't allow her to turn her wheels all the way due to rubbing..

    Might be best just to buy some tails from ebay. I'll wait until next year and probably just buy some then in case I fail the inspection.
