moving here soon and have a reservation through penske for a truck and trailer. according to their site the reg cab 2wd will work on their car carrier (all four wheels off the ground) but the 4wd won't. i'm assuming it's because the tires are too big for the straps to fit around. no one at penske seems to be able to tell me what is the maximum tire diameter that will fit.

    anyone used a penske trailer?

this is the trailer in question (not my pic)

Its probably just a weight issue.

hmm.. by my research the 4x4 reg can manual tranny has a curb weight of 3665lbs and according to penske's site their trailer has a max load cap of 4055lbs

    neglect, mostly.
^^^^, furthermore its possibly them just covering their asses by not being liable if you get a ticket for exceeding the weight restriction on your class C licence. . . . . that is, im assuming you only have a class C licence. therefore the tags on that truck only cover a certain weight for a renter.
