Avid front light bar, Avid bolt on sliders, Avid rear bumper protector, T-Rex grill & bumper insert. Still lots to do though.
So, I met Pelley on Saturday. Checked the fit of his light bar for the 2012 Tacomas. Had to mod it a bit to get it to fit. After the fitment, put everything back together & headed out to Cal City. Blasted some of the trails at around 60. Met up with one of Pelley's friends in a 2wd Ford Ranger pre runner style. Had a blast though. Turned 4500 miles in the dirt on the truck. 1st time the truck's been in the dirt. Handeled rather well for a stock 2wd.

Well, I was meeting another board member so he could fit his product on a 2012 & this was close to his place, so it was the open opprotunity. You have some place better? Let me know, I'll see what I can do about meeting you to hit some trails.

I was meaning because it's lower to ground and I've seen quite a few 2wds lose their under carriage out there. Just be careful. And I know where you were. And I would be more than willing to drive the trails out there with you. You can drive from Mojave through cal city and all the way to randsburg and onto Ridgecrest touching pavement only to cross the 395 or Garlock road.

Hey afcivmedic, I have done plenty of wheeling in my time & I can read the trails pretty well. The run out in Cal City was pretty much just trail runnin. Not really anything to rough. I really needed to see what my lil 2wd could do on the trails until I can get the lift & wheels on her. I am definitely down to doing some more trail runnin soon though. I might be going to Gorman on the 21st of Jan in the Gorman Meet. Sounds like it could be some fun. Hoping to have the lift & wheels in the next few months.

Hey SteveJ! I'm sure you have and can! No doubt in you. Just looking out for you. My first truck was a 2wd Toyota(86) and it handled the desert great and I tortured it! I look forward to seeing what you do to the truck with lift and tires! You doing it yourself? If I'm off for the Gorman meet, I'll be there.

Good looking out, I appreciate it. As for the lift & everything else I am going to do to my Baby, Yeah, I'll be doing it myself. I need to get all the items first little by little then do it all at once including regear the rear. I am pretty much still trying to get my garage put together so I have space to work on it but it will all happen.
