I'm tired of typing. Time to start googling. CV failures can run the gamut.

Well got an update now. Bought the longer lug nuts to help center the rim and they didn't really do anything for me at all, but hey, can't hurt to have them. Then got the hub centric rings, and they actually made the truck ride smoother, not perfect, but better than it ever has with these rims, so I'm happy with that.

And finally, I took my truck in to the dealer today for an oil change and had them look into the needle bearing issue. The service tech drove it and noticed a bit of the problem that I have been noticing all along (FINALLY) and so now here's the best part....they are ordering me an entire new front differential and are going to replace it under warranty!! The truck was actually 5 days out of warranty they said but they were going to replace it under goodwill and cover it under warranty :D. I was thrilled to hear that and very very thankful, I had been praying for whatever was best to happen but being a college student, I really don't have the $2,000 or whatever it would cost to replace that whole differential. Even though it's not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things just goes to show that God cares about the little things :). I have had so many problems with figuring this out but I hope this will finally be the fix I've needed! And I can start enjoying my lift a little bit :D

His 5100s are set at 1.75" (3rd groove from bottom). I have my 5100s set at .85 and you cannot see the lowermost empty groove. I installed mine myself and can perseonally verify that it was set at the second groove. In all the pictures the OP posted you can clearly see the lowermost groove so he has to be set higher than .85" The OP's must be set at 1.75" which would give him over 3" of lift in the front with the Eibachs and explains his vibes, cv angles and driveline issues. OP you need to have someone redo your front shocks and move the circlip on the front shocks down one groove.

Thanks for the heads up man, but unless I'm missing something, my understanding is that one groove showing meant it was set at .85. According to this link http://cart.bilsteinus.com/pdfs/E4-WM5-Y323A00.pdf posted earlier that's where I'm sitting at too.

Each one of those grooves is about 1/4" inch apart. The black collar the spring sits on is at least 1/2" to 3/4" thick. If you're on the .85" setting the black collar will cover the lower groove and you won't be able to see it. If you can see a groove under the spring seat, then you're at 1.75"

The better way to tell is to look at how many grooves are above the spring seat. If you can see 2 grooves above the spring seat, then you're at .85 " If you can see only 1 groove above the spring seat then you're at 1.75"

Yes sir! Took care of it right off the bat...if your symptoms are like mine then its probably a pretty safe bet that that's where your problem is.
