I have a 2009 4x4 regular cab. Still running the original steel wheels. Someone just offered me a set of the 16" FJ wheels for a great price. I can probably convince the wife to let me get them. The issue is this: I just bought a new set of 245/75/16 tires. Will they fit on the FJ rims?

Shouldn't have a problem but I don't know the specs on the FJ wheels. If they are 8" wide then they should work. I just put 235/85/16's on my TRD OR 16x8's with no problems.

Yes that size tire will fit. Did you ever considered 265/75/16 instead of the 245/75/16 prior to your purchase?

Not really. The original tires were worn out and I got what I thought was a deal at Sears. BTW, the Sears deal was a nightmare. I will never go there again.

I'd like to put different tires on the new rims, I just don't know if my wife will be that understanding.

My truck with a 3" lift front & rear. Stock 245/75/16 Dungflops on stock steelies.
I'll use these for commuting (70 mile round trip) for the better mpgs.

I already have some TRD alloys that I'm going to put 265/75/16s on for off roading.

They fit like a champ. Look way better than the steel wheels.

Only slightly bad part was the TPMS would not fit. I'll do the PVC pipe trick that I read about on here.
