    Finally decided to inspect my front door for why it's always so cold in the foyer.... The fuckers that built the place used tape to "insulate" around the door.

    I ripped all the trim off the doors and windows and not a single fucking piece of insulation in any window. Fucking value priced union fucking work

    Ya but they nailed the front door frame in place.... Explains why it was so crooked. So I adjusted that as best as I could.

    The exterior trim (brick mould) was holding it in place. It was getting to the point that the latch wasn't catching anymore and only the dead bolt was holding the door closed.

    Is it common practice everywhere to express the length of trusses in feet - inches - sixteenths ?

    For example on a truss plan here , 24-6-8 is 24' 6 1/2"

    Shimmed everything to square up the door, screwed the door to the wall through the hinges this time, and put a few screws in behind the weatherstripping to make it secure
