I'm not sure what setup the newer tacomas have, but on the older ones with a double cardan joint you do want it inline with the drive shaft, and I always point them down a few degrees to account for axle wrap

Ok guys i need some help. I have the AP LT on my tacoma and keep breaking components on the "HD" steering so i am switching back. i replaced my rack since the last failure took it out as well. Now i was gonna switch to stock with extensions and hear i sit with extensions for an fj (wrong thread) since someone put them in the wrong box at allpro. Now i am trying to get my truck ready for a new years run and ap says next week...

I need one tie rod extension for a 2" over kit and pronto. I am sure it will work from any 2" kit. Please let me know if you happen to be sitting on a spare or know a shop that can ship me one overnight.

    Thanks guys

Thats the backup plan but i know they will rape me more than usps or ups would on the overnight charges...just hoping somone would have one as a spare. Hell...thats the only reason i have one correct one now bc i ordered it long before the other two to use with the stock tie rod as a spare for the HD setup

What components keep breaking on your steering? As I just installed this kit w/ the LT and was wondering what kind of problems you are having.

All-Pro won't send you the correct ones? They are usually reasonable people and should send you the correct ones overnight:notsure:

I'm curious how a thicker set of tie rods caused your steering rack to fail.

TC has a 2'' over kit, maybe they can overnight you something.

I'd call AP back again and ask to talk to Sarah. All Pro overnighted me a skid plate so it would be there in time for a run. They had accidentally left it out of the pile of stuff we were loading in my truck at their storefront.

what ever you do , dont get stuck with tim. it was like pulling teeth to try to get them to order a replacement resi line for a customer who damaged one.

and further more , im so frustrated with fox shocks i dont want to touch another set of them if they paid me.

finding a company with good customer service these days is like playing craps at an indian casino!
