Well I am about 90% done with making my amp rack, the only thing left to do now is for me to make a trim piece to cover for the amps just for asthetics.

There was some cutting involved which you will see in the following pics but I did ALOT of planning and checked everything out pretty closely and nothing I cut off was used as a main support or brace, therefore, I should not run into any problems at all with the cuts I made. I will however keep you guys posted if I come across any problems!

So once I removed the storage cabinet under the rear seats, I ended up cutting the rear side of the opening to make room to fit my amps as there was NO WAY they would fit anywhere else in the cab with the set-up I'm planning on running.

After I made the cuts, I hammer the rear edge of the metal flat and then I flattened out the center hump some with the hammer. There is nothing under that center hump except a cross member on the frame, so it's alright to flatten it out some. Be carfeful as the metal does not seem to be super thick! Then I painted over all of the cut and hammered areas to cover and bare metal to avoid any type of rusting in the future.

Well enough explaining, here are some pics!

I used this Rubber sealer for the bottom of the board and legs to keep it from vibrating and making noise once the sounds are pumping! This stuff is great, the sticky adhesive on the back sticks very well to the wood and the rubber is pretty thick so it will defniately dampen the vibration! I also used some small nailes to hold the rubber in place on the lergs just in case!!!

Here is the amp rack and the amps in place! Also notice that there seems to be enough room between the amp and the seats but I am still considering running a couple of
fans in there to keep it extra cool!

Cool install. Do you have any updates or new pictures? I'm curious, any idea what kind of width is available once you remove the plastic storage area?
