Well after months of scouring Kijijji and craigslist with little to no success, i decided to purchase a brand new Leer topper instead.

So i ordered a Leer 100XR with 50/50 sliders (a must for the dogs), Thule roof rack, carpet interior, dual lights, removal front slider and a 3 way power block with cig outlets. And best of all i went with a Keyless entry option. After using this the past few weeks its such a convenient feature i wouldn't go without now.

Not only will the dogs enjoy this, i will to during the summer months for camping and offroading. Which usually go hand and hand for me. :D

Sorry for the cell phone pics...

I already ready debadged the back glass and removed the screens. Now all i need to do is find some carpet or get a bedrug to help keep the dogs a little more comfortable through the winter months.

Thanks! Definitely a bit pricey but well worth it IMO. Just so functional i really can't do without. I plan on building some sort of hoist system in the garage so i can store it if ever the need arises to move bigger items and such.

I'm slowly trying to build my taco as a baja truck so my dad and i can go drive off and live outta my truck on the beach while we fish/camp and ride. And a camper shell would come in handy. Everything you have done to your truck is on my list haha. i love the hc bumpers. But that's way down the road for me. That's a pretty sweet idea to be able to store it. Wouldn't you have to buy new sealer strips for the camper every time you wanted to put it back on tho? i remember doing this with my moms camper when i was a kid.

Nice! I've been wanting to install the rack on my shell and that keyless entry is the shit! I want that.

Nice Cap you got there. I love the Leer X's series. How's the fit and finish on those? I'm looking to get the 100XL.

Looks AWESOME! I keep debating getting a topper. If you don't mind, let us know how you work out the hoist system. If that is a viable option for me, it'll probably push me over the edge to get the topper. I like having my bed open in Summer for my ATV. Thanks, and again ... great topper, it makes your rig IMHO. :)

Has anyone debadged their topper? Leer or ARE?

I'm about to get my ARE and want it off the back glass but obviously scared to F up my $$$$$$ cap.

I've looked at every cap thread, but saw nothing about debadging them.

    Thanks in advance!

I slowly peeled the Leer badge off the rear glass on a warm day, makes the adhesive softer, then used bug and tar remover to get the leftover adhesive off. Didn't try the side logos.

Since it might be awhile before a warm day comes along in NY ... access to a garage and a heat gun will probably create the desired "softer adhesive" effect.

I'd consider asking the shop you're buying the topper from if they'll remove them for you ... worth a try. :notsure:

Go for the BedRug. Velcro's in place, can be removed in 5 min. and looks professional. An added bonus is that Velcro sticks to the carpet; if you use milk crates or duffle bags to store your stuff, throw a little Velcro on the bottom and it stays where you put it.
