Called TRD, they have absolutely no idea on when new products will be released...they do not have contact information with the R&D department they are only customer service reps with access to the same if not less information than us.

Buying a vette and towing a trailer behind it...gotta be the stupidest response I've ever heard. My expectation of this average size vehicle is that it is as such...it drives like a truck and even with a supercharger it will still drive the same and will not be a huge "wow" but will help alleviate the mild passiveness of all naturally aspirated vehicles. Regardless when I stated "need" in quotations it simply meant I want it alot.

Boost is an addiction, if you have never felt it mabe you should take a spin in something that makes >600rwhp on a blown application. 6psi on a supercharger and toyota warranty is better than a kick in the pants and it will do for now. I came from a 2006 Duramax to this tacoma...didn't need the big truck and I enjoy the 6MT and hauls my quad fine...in the summers I drive around my 800rwhp Turbo e46 M3 which satisfies my boost addiction...but I like all my vehicles boosted.

Surely with the vast TacomaWorld network there has to be someone with knowledge of the new 2012 TRD Superchargers...

A slightly modded RX7 is hardly considered a fast car...regardless it seems like talking to you is like talking to a brick wall...if you do not have anything meaningful to add to this thread why do you even bother posting? Oh I see...looks like your post count reflects why...meaningless garbage.

The problem with contacting TRD as indicated in previous postings by others including myself is that when you call them...it is simply a customer service rep with no information on anything that isn't in their computer. The people at TRD who know...are not the people on the phones. My hope by posting this is that someone who frequents this forum is one of these people or knows someone and has insider information...better networking if you might say.

In the aftermarket parts industry, forums are generally the first place where knowledge on future product releases are usually openly discussed and in most cases the information is shared in these forums prior to any product release. Someone in an earlier post hinted that they knew when this kit was going to be released...simply trying to get more information and gauge the accuracy of the post based off new information, etc...

Increasing your post count again with worthless information before you've even read the whole thread...yes your post count concerns me because with these last few posts I can just imagine how much garbage is spread around this forum...by you...you ask me to think...I ask you to read...RTMFT before you post...and post only if you have information useful to the thread...otherwise you are just a troll.

Any more info on a tentative release date for the reflash? In the past what has it been like?

Doubt it. From your build page, it doesn't look like you have any mechanical additions, and stock Tacomas don't do 0-60 in 6.2.

Looks like whipperdopper is at it again! There should be a rule against one person posting 80 replies to one thread.

LMAO @ "slightly modded RX-7" You think that was fast don't you?! That's hilarious. :D

And I have a TRD CAI, TRD Exhaust, Long tube headers, and a URD MAF Sensor Calibrator tuned for all those mods.

I previously owned a 2010 Subaru WRX and currently own a Tacoma. While it is true that the Subaru was capable of sub 5 second 0-60 mph as it turned out it was also capable of completely and totally self destructing an engine in 3500 miles...buy the tacoma.

Cool. I'll go out and spend $1500... Or you could watch the video and use a stopwatch... You'll get pretty close to what I claimed.

I wish I had that kind of money, to buy new all the time and order the car from the dealer each time... I bought my Tacoma with 97k miles, the car before that at 35k miles and the car before that at 68k miles...

I saw a brand new Dodge Viper towing a uhaul trailer today in CA, it sounds like this would solve your problem. Just get a spacer lift kit for it.

My dad used to haul his boats with 70's vettes. All was right with the world. Never any problems.

400 is far from 1500...and you do not measure 0-60 times like that.../facepalm.

That was meant to be $500. And sure it would be great if I could use a vbox or something else with GPS capability, but in absence of such a device, using a stopwatch and videotaping the speedo isn't going to be that inaccurate. I might be a tenth or two off, but my point that a truck with about $700 worth of mods is significantly faster than a stock tacoma.

You do realize how much the Super Charger costs? Maybe just buy the SC and put it on a Yaris? Maybe you could afford that?

There are at least prototypes of the '12 SC out. My local dealer installed one for a local VIP on a new '12.
