It's a vinyl decal. It was a huge pain in the ass actually. Took about an hour to apply it.

No i Didn't clear coat them because I thought it would be easier to touch them up if they were not cleared.

I got an uncut sheet of it from edecals.com. You can also get vinyl for the valance from TW member sockmonkey. PM him for details. I don't recall how much it was.

So, you replaced the factory studs with different, longer ones correct?

Hmmm that's weird. So you say when the ET lugs are on, you can hear that movement still? With the wheel on? Do you have to move the rotor with your hand to hear it, or does it do it while driving?

Come to think of it, my truck makes a little "cling" noise the first time I tap my brakes going from forward to reverse, I wonder if that could be the sound I've heard.....

Yeah I can hear it when I drive. I thought the et lugs would take care of the movement but they don't.

Hi, I 'm new around here and my truck looks more like the first pics of your when you just brought it home and since the addition of studded winter tires on my factory rims I'm commited to get new wheels and tires for spring. I'm lookin at an 18x9" rim as well, most likely a 295/65/18 Goodyear Duratrac tire which I think will require me to lift about 3". My concern is how much this wheel/tire combo is gonna stick out past the wheel wells. I'm wondering what your backspace is if you know it? I' think the consensus is that I will need 4.5" but the wheel I want can be had in 4.5", 5" or 5.5". My factory wheels are 5.5" which by my math going to 4.5" adds 2" to my track width and then the fact that the factory rims are 7.5" wide and the new ones are 9" adds another 1.5" so that mean(if I'm correct) an additional 2.5" of width per side which I'm hoping won't appear to be sticking out too much and yours look good, granted your tires are 30mm thinner. I'm looking for info on your wheels and all I can come up with is 20mm offset, which I assume since they don't list + or - means they are +. if that is correct then you have a backspace of about 5.75" and if it is negative then it is about 4.25". Any info on your backspace and even how far your tires stick out past your fender flares would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Steve

Hi, you are right that the 4.5" bs, 9" wide wheels will stick out 2.5" more than stock. That's really the only choice you can go with if you want to have a prayer at fitting those 295's. They will still require a lot of trimming and likely a cab mount chop, even with the 3" lift.

My setup, which is 5.4" bs and 9" wide rims with 265s, just barely sticks out past the fender. Maybe a 1/4".
