i just ordered one, does this sytem work sans 3g???

i have a bluetooth ob2 connection for the ralliart for the innovative wideband and works awesome when i want to look at it, typically track days and when i switch to the non factory tune

but i have an ipod dedicated to the car as well, but that software and setup was like 500 bucks without the ipod

does this system monitor MPG??? if so amazing, i need to track my MPG a lot more on my truck as its getting slightly annoying

I don't have the automatic tranny so I can't test that out sorry
Yes I works using only bluetooth, there is no network set up, I've found it only works within about 15 feet of the vehicle

Just bought one on Amazon with 1-day shipping for $25. Thinking about pairing it with a 7 or 10 inch adroid tablet mounted where oem stereo sits now. If it works out, my oem head unit with complete blue led mod will be on sale.

Woah. I ordered one yesterday the same way and came here to see if anyone else had paired it with an android tablet yet.

This should allow for some interesting setups...

Doesn't work with Apple. Well the Torque App is only for android. You may be able to find an OBDII reader app for mac's.

Ass long as your tablet has Bluetooth and Android, it will work. I run an HP touchpad with WEBOS and Android on a dual boot platform. It's simple to use and you can find the HP Touchpad for about 100-200$ if you look hard enough.

The nice thing about the tablet is I can fit all the gauges I want on one scree so I don't have to swype around to find what I'm looking for.

@Broken- Can you test this on your manual to see if you can get Tranny Temp to read out?
Go to manage custom OBD2 PID's and add one called "Transmission Temp".

For OBD2 mode enter in: 0105
    Equation: A-40
    OBD Header: TCM

see if you can get a manual reading off that. That was the only way I was able to get my Tranny temp to read on my Auto.

It would be cool if you could hook it up on a double din head unit and have the head unit display the info.

In the works already. Since my Double din can accept a normal RCA video input I'm working with having my cell phone use its HDMI mini out, then convert to RCA, then into the Deck. It's not as easy as I thought it would to get that working but I'll post up a How to once I get it going good.
