    Suspension: -Bilistien 5100's all around -Add a leaf -Firestone ride rite air bags Performance: -K&N cold air -Borla cat back Stereo: -Pioneer AVH-X2500BT head unit -Kenwood 1400 shallow mount 12'' sub in custom box -Alpine 1100 amp -Alpine 400 4 channel -4 energy component 6.5's Wheels/tires: -17x9 with 4.5 backspacing XD hoss rims with 33'' bfTreadwright gaurd dogs and spidertrax spacers Looks: -Satoshi grille made by myself -Hood, front bumper, grille, roof, tailgate and rear bumper plasti-dipped. -BHLM -eyelids -matted out tailights -Tacoma bed mat Small mods : -Trailer 7 pin replaced and moved into bumper beside licence plate -Removed mud flaps -Repainted frame/lower a-arms, skid and rear diff/housing with por15 -Led bulbs -Interior lights replaced with blue led's -Beep on lock added
    For as long as I can remember my Dad and I have used Craftsman tools, and they have held up great. Then recently I bought I new set to replace the older, warn/lost sockets etc.

    They were great up until about 3 months later. Broke a couple small things (no biggy) then my 3/4'' drive ratchet broke. Brought it back, had to wait 3 weeks for a new one. After that, broke it again... other 3 weeks.. broke it again..(not being hard on them) went to the tools dept. and the guy told me Sears is having supplier issues but not to worry.. should be able to get me my ratchet in 6 months... I said forget it, just refund me for the ratchet so I can buy a different one. They wouldn't do that either.

    Sears used to be great. I am disappointed they are letting this happen.

    ANYWAYS, went to Canadian Tire and picked up their best ratchet set on sale (70% off) and so far it has been my favorite. The numbers are easy to read. Ratchets are great, tons of goodies came with the kit, even the case feels better quality, and the best part.. they always have the tools in stock if need be and its a painless exchange.

    Don't get me wrong, I still use and love LOTS of craftsman tools but it just seems their quality of the new is getting worse and master-crafts is getting better.

    So, what experiences have you had? and what brand(s) did you end up with?

    I generally use Snap on, MAC and Craftsman...depends on what I need and which vender sees me first unless I'm at Sears then I will get craftsmen...Snap on has a larger selection of specialty tools than the others...Ken

    I've used Craftsman for years, but have seen a similar decline in both quality and service. Would love to migrate to Snap-on or MAC, but have trouble justifying the cost... :(

    That's what happens when American companies outsource to factories in China and start pinching pennies. Good brands go to shit. It's really too bad, too. Because Craftsman and Kenmore are about all Sears has going for it now. Lose that customer base, and Sears (which already is in huge trouble) is screwed.

    Normally I've just had craftsmen tools but after watching a show on TV last night I think I'm going to start rotating into Cornwell. I like the idea of handmade tools made in America with American steel.

    I wanted the 154 piece craftsman mechanics tool set for Christmas but got the 140 piece set from Stanley. Not a bad tool set but not the best either. Maybe I'll migrate to some real high quality stuff down the road but what I have works for what I do

    If I had the money, it would be nothing but snap on. For the same warrenty, ill buy craftsman for alot cheaper.
