so you guys would rather they put out an inferior product that hasn't been thoroughly tested just so it comes to market a couple of weeks sooner?

    yeah that makes sense.

I dunno what the problem is with the OEM mats...mine are great! Wouldn't get the weathertech regardless!

That is not what I said. I said that they lost my sale.

I need winter mats right now so I am buying what is available right now: the Toyota all-weather mats. They are good enough that I will not replace them. If the Weathertechs were available before Spring 2012, I would have purchased them instead.

Realistically, these are the same mats as the 2011 with the anchors changed/moved. I just don't think it should take six months to ensure the product is not inferior.

You must work in an office? I got the OEM all weather and they are crap. They only hold half the dirt. The other half either gets underneath the mats and gets ground in to the carpet or sits around the edges of the mat. And these new ones do not even go under the pedals. Thanks to the idiot that either had 3 sets of mats or where just looking for a buck in a law suit from toyota.

The Husky mats are available for the 2012's now. I've purchased a set and they fit really well. I had the Weathertechs in my previous Tacoma and the Husky liners look to be every bit as good.

I'm waiting til they become available. I loved em in my 09 access cab. Should have taken em out and sold them. Will the window visors work on 2012s? Wanna get those instead of the ones that go on the paint.

I'm not sure why it will take another 10 weeks for them to develop a 2012 version... the ONLY difference is the retention clips. Many other 2012 vehicles, including toyotas, have new versions. I work in a shop that does extensive R&D, and I know a small change like that would NOT take 10 weeks if the project was given any sort of priority. Granted I work in a metal shop but still, the fact that it will be another 10 weeks tells me they are not giving this any kind of a priority. Kinda makes me sour on Weathertech a little bit, to be honest.
