Why not look into the Cooper AT3s or the Toyo Open Country ATs?

The rugged fails do suck. Another thing to concider though is the weight of the ford f250 compared to the Taco.

I have them on my 1st gen, on the pavement they do great IMO, off-road they've never left me down, wish they would self-clean a little bit better, but they do pretty good for an A/T to me. All-in-all, they are have been good tires so far. Have about 9k on them and still look pretty much brand new.

Bfg at hands down imo. I've had the roti open country ats and the terra grapplers, both do good in dry dirt but get in actual mud, or even wet grass on a slope and your stuck..

I like the idea of 235/85r16s but all I can find is load range E stuff... Seems like that would rob some MPG plus they are a bit taller (not sure how much that will affect power/mpg)

Alot of folks are recommending the terra graplers which I would try out if they were available in a smaller size.

I went from 215/70r15s to 235/75r15s on my 5-lug and it was a mistake. 3-4mpg less and couldn't use 5th gear unless i was going 75+. I just don't want to make a mistake like that again. Though, they did look awesome on the little truck.

Toyo and Nitto are the same company. Terra Grappler and Open Country A/T are just about identical in looks and are identical in construction. I prefer the looks of the Nitto though.

look at Cooper Discoverer AT3, i plan on getting them for my next set. Also i thought 265/70R16 were the height as 245/75R16 just wider. 265/75R16 would be wider and about an inch taller.

I love my Duratracs! So far great in the snow/mud and rocks, not much rain yet for me.

Great in the snow! 14" that day.

My P265/70 16 Goodyear Silent Armor's work great for me. Snow, mud, off-road, ice, rain, highway, around town, you name it...

A little expensive but not bad for an AT tire with a mileage warranty of 80,000 kilometers (50,000 miles). Most importantly to me, they are rated for the "severe" snow conditions and get me by road-checks when headed off into the mountains...

I've had a set of the Revos and I was going to get another set but they doubled in price. They did well in just about every situation. I now have General Grabbers AT2s. They are severe weather rated and got me through 26 inches of unplowed snow with a stock double cab. Price is good and they have not let me down.

As far as looks go, I think the duratracs are the winner. I'm going to look into the General and Cooper ones and see which are the lightest in 245/75r16 or 265/70r16. I like the idea of a severe weather rated tire with a great warranty too.

I was very picky with tire weights. I ended up choosing Hankook ATM and cant complain about them.

Comparing them to a setup of 2 year old Revos that were on the truck and a setup of Terra Grapplers on a work truck I drove, I say they are better than the Revos for sure and on par with the terra grapplers but for sure quieter as well as weighing less.

I went with 255/70/17 which is not a common size run since I did not want to add weight and wanted it to be a lil skinnier to cut through water and snow. They weigh in at 37 lbs

I know the 265/70/17 come in at 38lbs.

The weights on both of those were both P rated tires.

They are lighter than pretty much any other AT tires in those comparable sizes I looked around alot.

The only tall 16 inch they sell in the ATM is a 265/75/16, unsure of weight on that one.

You have to call hankook directly to get the weights for their tires since they are not listed on the net anywhere.

3" lift. American racing 15'' rims. 33x12.50 BFG A/T tires. tool box. ARB bumper, mile marker winch, kc highlights. No carpet inside sprayed with bed liner. Kicker door speakers. Alpine head unit.
Hankook dynapro atm or general grabber at2... the at2 is great because it's severe snow weather rated... snow flake ftw :D. The Firestone destination a/t is a great tire too.

Love the DuraTracs, but will probably go back to the most popular tire ever, the BFG A/T tires. These do well in the mud, which is what I'm always waiting for also.
