gauge cluster part number?

Hello! I'm looking to swap out my "no tach" cluster for one with a tach, i know this topic has been beat to death, i bet i've read 50 threads on it TODAY.

anyway, can anyone tell me which engine this one on ebay was from? i asked the seller and he doesn't know. from what i've read, the factory tachs are designed for either the 4cyl or 6cyl.

Ive been searching the part number he lists, "83800-04470" hoping to figure out if its a 4 or 6cyl cluster, i've not had any luck. thanks!

 

does anyone know of any 4cyl white face gauges w/tach for sale?

or does anyone know any part numbers i should watch for/avoid?

Looks like a 2.7 gauge cluster

 

I did this to my 86 toyota with no problems i just added a tech wire from the coil.

For this i would make sure that you get a dash from a 4 banger truck if thats what you have in your truck now. Reason i say this is because it will show a different rpm vs the v6.

with the pic on ebay i would pull your dash out and confirm the connections on the back (look the same) as the one pictured. In the factory set up here lately if the truck wasnt ordered with it they omit it so you might have to do some extra wiring on your part to make it work.

I wanted to swap my cluster...but I couldn't find a cluster that was in good condition so I just added a sunpro supertach II to the steering column. Works great.

 

thats been my setup for 2 years now.

i'm ready for a change! oh and a tripometer!

Yeah, I would still love an OEM tach, it would look much cleaner.

Plus a trip gauge would be nice.

 

do you have any vids of your truck? i was just reading about it under your name, someday when mine isn't being driven 400 miles a week i'd like to bump up tire size. it used to be on 31s but i went back to stock 225 because of all the miles i'm putting on it.

how well does your exhaust compensate for the 33s?

what kind of 0-60 time?

The exhaust helps a bit with the tires...but the best way to compensate for larger tires is re-gearing. (which I dont plan on doing because I am going down to 31's)

No idea on the 0-60 times.

The only video's I have are exhaust tone videos.

 

here's a pic of them (mostly) installed. i've ran about 300 miles sense the swap, everything works perfectly and the odometer DOES NOT show my actual mileage. i'm very happy with it overall.
