Only 6k miles on the truck. Feels like it strains going from 3rd to overdrive. Thanks

i have 34’4**k on my ’07 that i got in may. and no i don’t had issues! about 98% ot the time it just stays in “D” tho. if it is raining hard and i’m stopped on a hill i’ll down shift to 1st and shift my way back to D. some times i have to do that on my drive way when it’s raining.

I assume you have the 2.7, if you like to drive quick the ECU might have picked up on your driving habits and adjusted the shift point to delay longer than normal. You could try resetting it - disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 10 minutes. It should shift normal immediately after resetting, but it will learn your habits during the first few trips afterwards, so take it easy for about 4-6 trips.

Edit: be sure to check out the 4 cylinder section of TW, lots of us over there

It is the 6 cyl engine. I actually drive the truck very carefully and am not heavy on the gas pedal. You may be right with the ECU reset. Thanks
