HID foglight installation help....

Hey everyone! I just recently got an HID h10 kit for my fogs. The damn guys never sent any installation instructions with them!!! I e-mailed him and he said he was sorry and for me to google it myself and find out how instead of finding one himself and sending me the link! Fugger!! I left him negative feedback, but any ways, I don't know where these two ends hook up to? Anyone???

 

I have no idea... that ebay guy is an ass...

 

Well I'm pretty sure he is a foreign guy because he didn't make sense in his sentences!!! I don't think anything is missing because I looked up other h10 HID kits online but I'm just not sure where they go to!

 

maybe they are for a sweet strobe setup so you can give people seizures..

 

Can you give us a picture of the whole system?

Just from looking at that, they look like the red positive power wire and the black negative ground, but I could be wrong.

About a third of the way down, look for "H10 Male" connector.

It will look something like this:




This connector has two wires coming off it to connect to those red and black wires you have from you HID kit. Connect the black to black, and connect the remaining red wire to whatever color the remaining wire is. Soldering works the best, but you could also buy crimp connectors too, in any case, please waterproof them.

 

Oh so I will "have" to get these connectors in order for it to work?

 

If you want a clean and sealed install, then yes. Otherwise you could put blade connectors in, but then you allow moisture to get into your connections, and you could corrode your OEM connectors.

Yeah that's true. Well I want to do it right so I will most likely order those connectors. Now do I need male connectors for sure? I don't have the kit with me so I'm not to sure?

 

What old lights? You mean the nokya bulbs?

Oh no no, just replacing it with an HID kit. Using the same housing.

 

Take out your regular fog light bulb. Whatever style the bulb is, either male or female, that is what you want. You want to plug in the HID kit like it was a regular bulb.

 

Yeah it's a male socket. Already bought some and they should be on the way I hope!

Well I was messing with my HID fogs today and just installed them! They came in a way for two different types of hook-ups. Mine was one of them so the other set of wires were pointless!!! Didn't even need those male connectors!!! Oh well, my fault. They are bright as F---!!! Maybe to bright in my opinion. I'm just wondering how they look like to other drivers on the road?
