Really, Thats weird. the speakers are just taking the audio signal and outputing sound. Ive had 20+ year old speakers work on my laptop before. I would have thought for sure its the drivers or sound card. New speakers = WIN.

OK, so you have a desktop style computer ?
When I saw Beats I started thinking laptop because that's my only experience with Beats.

It makes sense that (if this is a desktop) the older speakers might not work with the Beats Audio sound card.
It's weird that HP would ship non-compliant speakers.

I have not researched Beats Audio but it's something new and likely that only a certain group of speakers are compatible.

Have you tried any of the thing suggested by myself & everyone else, are you getting any error msg.. and if so what do they said any conflicts in Device Manage??? I looked the system up on HP & it looks like it's a built on sound card, but if your not getting any error & it's hooked -up right do you have any other speakers you can plug in???
And you get no sound when play Itune??? playing a game, watch a dvd, what about windows sound the the system make the Windows sound on bootup???

I think he has it handled.
It must be a desktop and HP shipped the wrong speakers.
They are sending the correct speakers.

2002. Prob wont have it much longer. A couple years after my old man bought it he got tired of it and never drove it so i "took it off his hands";) Ive been busy tho and its in Vancouver so it only gets used for 3-4 months a year. Just sits in the garage. Its in immaculite condition. Took it to a show and shine last year and had people telling me they voted it for the cleanest car. Getting older too so having a couple of problems. He wants a bmw 5/7 series and i want a newer Tacoma or Sierra so....

If i move down to Phoenix full time ill prob get a newer one, in the next couple years. Def been a fun toy.
