Made these with some help from Eric (relentless) with the aluminum block things.

Heres a different view. I just welded some plates together and then Eric cut some aluminum to put into the bed rails and we drilled and tapped it.

I'm gonna cut the 1/2" bolts down some and put some loctite on the 1/4" bolts.



Then I'm gonna grab a security cable from HF for it.

I mounted my new radar detector that I got for Christmas.
The power cable uses a standard phone jack for the connection so that got me thinking. I ran a phone line from the mirror down the pillar under the dash to the center console. I velcro-ed the unit to the mirror and plugged in my phone line extension cord. Works great!

 

finally built my build thread.....

 

Mine came back from the body shop. We had a major wind-storm, hurricane force winds, and a tree landed on my Taco when I pulled it out of the garage to repair damaged shingles on the roof.



All things considered it wasn't all that bad. It mostly hit the plastic fender well, and only scratched the fender. No dings.

Fortunately (??) a tree fell on our house that night, so this was covered under the one deductible, so I was able to get damage repaired.

The shop did an amazing job. Best quality work I've ever seen, plus they called me daily to update me on the status of the repair.

Even though the branch missed the bumper, they did a full repair on it, removing scratches and damage from before I owned the truck. How great is that!?

Yeah, I'm just north of you. That storm did some major damage up here as well. Luckily my Truck was tucked safely inside my garage. The shingles are the apartment complex's problem.

Who did you take it to to have it fixed?

 

Intalled Pop n Lock. Very easy to do.

Changed rear differential fluid and did the breather re-location mod

 

Installed N-Fab Rear Runner bar with a couple Westin lights. Still have to wire them up though.

 

I work part time at the Salt Lake Ducati dealer and they only use Schneider Auto to do bike repairs, although they are mostly a Euro-car place. But I can't say enough about the quality of work they did.

Finished the clear coat today & the light brackets. Not bad for a couple hours spread over 3 days and a &%*)($&&$( ton of rust. The old man helped me with the grinder every once in a while so I could snap a few pictures. Wish I had a before picture. The amount of rust under that plastic protector was unbelievable. But the grinder did make sanding super easy. I'll never go back to hand sanding anything.

Got a Smart Start remote start alarm installed.

 

I added locks to the two cubbys in bed. Got three 5/8 cam locks from Home Depot with the same key( numbers on the package) then followed this thread:
Instead of doing a lot of sanding and fitting to enlarge the hole, I got close with a Dremmel and a sanding mandrel, then took a heat gun to get it just hot enough to let me hammer the lock body in.
