Pics and Vids from today's off roading. Rowher Flats OHV

Did the Rowher trail up from Bouquet Cyn and then joined the Lookout trail down into the Rowher Flats OHV area. Great trail run with lots of technical sections and some nice hills and descents. Truck is a stock TRD off road with Bilstein 5100's and BFG tires. Did the whole trail without taking any bypasses. Was very impressed. Here's some pics and vids.

Sweet! Props to ya for teaching your GF how to wheel too. It's nice to sit back and enjoy a beer and the scenery while the significant other enjoys the driving.

Its crazy with what the truck is capable of. You have balls doing that one section in a stock truck. I have an ome lift and the only reason I felt comfortable going up that section was because there was a Tacoma in front of me that made it. And you're right the camera doesn't capture how steep that is.

 

Yeah, that section was very questionable. I probably would have skipped it if I wasnt to high on success from the first few obstacles getting there. lol, I walked it a few times to pick a line through it and felt that the truck would be ok as long as I could keep the tires on the high spots. It had 2 "steps" the first was not too big but the second was pretty high. I anticipated a little body "contact" but got through unscathed. Gotta tell you that "locker" is worth it's weight in gold and it soley responsible for getting us through a few of those "Oh shit" moments

See your front wheels lose traction. '09+ models with A-Trac may have helped you on this.

ive been there before while visiting a friend on the west coast. I have pics and videos of the exact same trails/hills that you were on, lol. That one hill that passes under the high tension power lines is wayyy steeper in person.

Yeah I was trying to get her to feel the braking if the truck started sliding backwards. I didn't want her to hit the brakes hard as that tends to shock the tires and cause more sliding backwards. I'd rather have her lightly get on the brake pedal to prevent it sliding.

Thx for the compliments. I really like what this truck is capable of. ( 2008 no A trac. ) for you SoCal guys this is a great trail to hit up for some nice climbs and twists without being too far or too difficult. Especially the stock type trucks. Scenery up top is also beautiful.
