Hey y'all I'm going to be in Auburn in early January. What things should I do while I'm there? Any things I have to do? I heard that there is a state forest there. Any suggestions are welcomed.

How'd the slider welding go? Did you go for belt and suspenders and bolt them too?

Hey Kegtaco You wouldnt happen to have aftermarket wheels on there would ya? Reason being I might be interested in buying the FJ's wheels if price is right.

Also who lives out in Big Cove that drives a 2nd gen Black 4x4 with a rack and a snorkel and a bunch of other stuff?

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
slider welding went very well. decided i would get a coworker who is also a friend to do the welding for me at his shop/house. he is a certified welder and i have a LOT of experience around his welding (he is kind of my welding teacher at the quarry) he did a FANTASTIC job. we didnt do any bolts cuz we took a torch to the sliders and modified the L-bracket to get even more weld on them. as my buddy said those sliders wont come off now even with a torch. have to cut the legs if i ever want them off. which i dont see me ever wanting to take them off. i will truly test them tomorrow when i put my hi lift on them to jack up the entire sides to put my new wheels and tires on. got the old duratracs mounted to my new wheels today but ran out of time so i didnt get a chance to put them on the truck (son had a drs appt then had to go by the day care for a meet and greet to get ready for his first day) hopefully the weather will be nice tom so i can get them mounted and pics taken. truck will be done then for a long while except for the grill. i guess next thing for the truck will either be plate bumper or locker but that will be at least a year or more down the road.

It's probably all kinds of overkill, but with stuff like that, I agree with overkill. Glad it worked out well.

Bumpers are on my list, at some point. I've got a big dent in my rear one, so that one will come first. Just trying to decide if I want to cut the bed sides or not.

Toomer's Corner lemonade, walk campus, hit the bars, visit Chewakla, visit some local stores, etc. Those are the run-of-the-mill attractions, more or less. I should be in town if you need some more suggestions or want to know of some offroad spots.

Dang, I'm going back through all the talking I missed. They're sitting in my garage still, I can possibly drop them off too next time I go out to Christina's parents (you're on 565 right?) probably this weekend or the next. Or meet halfway. Or I can just drop them when convenient for you, because you lent them to me and not the other way around. Or something.

    Let me know what works.
