2012 TX Pro

Hey guys, been snooping around the forums for a week or so. I just bought a 2012 TX Pro in black last week. I am terrible about leaving things alone. I just cant drive a stock truck. I am looking to do a few mods and just wanted to pop in and ask some advice.

I want a little lift but nothing too big right now. What i am looking at doing is getting some 5100 bilsteins all around and setting the fronts at 1.75. For the rear i have the 3 leaf spring pack so i am going to add a leaf in the rear(are the rear shocks adjustable?). I am looking to get a road armor bumper or iron bull bumper in the front with a winch. I want the truck to sit level and i want to clear some 265/75/16 fierce attitudes. Am I on the right track here?

U can add a leaf, or see if your dealership will install the TSB 4 leaf pack.

Rear shocks are not adjustable. Go ahead and pick up a pair of 5100's for the back also.

The tire size u suggested will fit on stock suspension.

Id say your on the right track! Keep browsing the forums for more ideas, install guides, and other mods!

 

thanks man. I figured they would probably clear at that size but i just want to keep the truck off of the tire a bit. I also want to level the truck off. I don't like the front lean.

 

any sites that you can think of that i can order the 4 shocks and the AAL? Also i am ok with the stock coils for now right?

 

Sounds like a good plan. 265/75/16's will fit and look good with or without the lift.

 

how much lift would the eibach springs and the billys set at zero give me?

Go for 285's. You can set your front 5100's to the .85 setting. Paired with the eibach springs you'll be around 2.5 inches of lift.

You'll be able to fit 285's then. (you will have to trim some plastic junk in the wheel well and take your front mud flaps off too)

I've ran this setup for over a year now and I love it.

Not sure what the backspacing of those tx pro wheels are, but you'll probably need some wheel spacers to minimize rubbing. Or get a new set of wheels with a backspace of 4.5 or less.

You don't need extended brake lines and BPV bracket relocator on a second gen with the mild lift that you are planning on. If you are planning on a bumper and winch then the stock coils won't do. Get the Eibachs and the 5100's.

Is the diff drop neccessary with what i am looking at?

 

Not all all necessary for 6", because of the drop bracket, your cv angles don't change from stock.

I am going to set all shocks at 0 hoping to acheive 2"of lift in the front and rear. (I am guessing when the bumper is installed the front end will settle and make the truck sit level.) I don't have the tools, time, or space to install this myself. Could anyone guess what this would cost me in labor? Also i am going to stick with the 265/75/16 for now. I like this lift because it gives me the option to go bigger down the road.

 

yes just the one spacer for the drivers side. I will look into the studs. How important do you think that extended brake line is?

 

All these parts are for 2011. They will fit the 12's right? also do you think i am overdoing it with the 886's. Just don't want my ride to stiffen up too much
