Then what of Evil Monkeys site that has to conclude that he was crucified on a wednesday and resurrected on saturday to prove the bible doesn't make mistakes?

That does jive at all with your simpler interpretation, yet the wed-sat seems now completely correct with this high sabbath holy day talk. I just can get around whether it matters if it was AD31, AD33, or AD34?

Don't know about the site mentioned, just that my research indicates it was 33 C.E. (the only year in that time frame where the weekly sabbath coincided with the first day of the Festival of Unfermented Cakes, which was also a sabbath under the Jewish law. Hence it being called a "great sabbath"). John 19:31

What say you then Evil Monkey?

Your link got it all wrong, docbrown helped clear that one up.

    Satan again maybe?

    Here is the condensed version.

Tuesday: Jesus Christ ate an evening Passover meal with His disciples (at the beginning of Nisan 14, Jewish reckoning) and instituted the New Covenant symbols (Matthew:26:26-28[26]And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.[27]And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;[28]For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.). Jesus was then betrayed by Judas, arrested and during the night brought before the high priest.
Wednesday: Jesus was crucified and died around 3 p.m. (Matthew:27:46-50[46]And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?[47]Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.[48]And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.[49]The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.[50]Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.). This was the preparation day for the annual, not weekly, Sabbath, which began at sunset (Mark:15:42And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,; Luke:23:54And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.; John:19:31The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.). Jesus' body was placed in the tomb just before sunset (Mat thew 27:57-60).
Thursday: This was the high-day Sabbath, the first day of Unleavened Bread (John:19:31The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.; Leviticus:23:4-7[4]These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.[5]In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover.[6]And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.[7]In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.). It is described as the day after the "Day of Preparation" (Matthew:27:62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,).
Friday: The high-day Sabbath now past, the women bought and prepared spices for anointing Jesus' body before resting on the weekly Sabbath day, which began at sunset (Mark:16:1And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.; Luke:23:56And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.).
Saturday: The women rested on the weekly Sabbath, according to the Fourth Commandment (Luke:23:56And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.; Exodus:20:8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.- 11). Jesus rose near sunset, exactly three days and three nights after burial, fulfilling the sign of Jonah and authenticating Jesus' messiahship.
Sunday: The women brought the prepared spices early in the morning while it was still dark (Luke:24:1Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.; John:20:1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.). Jesus had already risen (Matthew:28:1-6[1]In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.[2]And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.[3]His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:[4]And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.[5]And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.[6]He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.; Mark:16:2-6[2]And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.[3]And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?[4]And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.[5]And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.[6]And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.; Luke:24:2-3[2]And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.[3]And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.; John:20:1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.). He did not rise on Sunday morning, but near sunset the day before.

That is not what I said. I did not state that there were two sabbaths but that that the normal sabbath fell on the same day that another Jewish festival began that was automatically a Sabbath (Nisan 15). Hence, Jesus died on Friday(Nisan 14), was in the tomb parts of three days and rose on Sunday (Nisan 16).

I was asking Evil Monkey not you.

He's obviously sees a huge difference on this one as does the link and several other alternative solutions to answer the 3 night question, all totally different using the same bible with careful consideration.

They are convinced he came back saturday night though, so that wouldn't work with your 3 day explanation.

Why isn't this hashed out by now?

    Forgot..... Satan.

If you get down to technicalities, Allah essentially means "the God". Used in the context of the Islamic faith, however, it refers to the god of the Koran, which according to Islamic faith, supersedes the Bible. I do not believe the Koran supersedes the Bible. Are some of the teachings of the Koran positive? Certainly. Do I think it represents the message of the God of the Bible? Certainly not. Is the direct source of this Satan? Possibly. Or it could simply be misguided efforts on the part of men. Does any religion other than the one that God established and his son Jesus taught server the purposes of Satan? Yes.

This does not mean that I hate Muslims, Buddhists, Shinto... The work of a true Christian is to educate, not hate.

I know you were not asking, but as a member I can't help but to comment on the sarcasm.

Imo, that is a perfectly fine answer to the question for those who beleive in a Satan. I see Faith and religion that is something very personal to those who beleive, obviously diff religions have diff answers.

Again, Science has it's own issues that you don't seem to question as much...as you beleive more in it and it's contradictions are considered "advancements". There just as many diff Scientific ideas and interpretations on a multitudes of levels, particularly those involving phenomen such as the creation of the Universe. Simple things are issues too, such as why was I taught Pluto was an eigth planet growing up in text books (for example)? Forgot....Science is always advancing theories.

What issues does science have? Remember science is not constant like religions, it can change as new evidence presents its self.
