...and someone comes up behind you, move to the right. Pretty simple.

If no one is around, do 20 in the left lane for all I care. But if someone is going faster than you, let them pass safely.

I know I am preaching to the choir but this is one of those things that actually improves safety.

not only is it safer, but also the law in most states- left lane is for passing only. Its my biggest peeve when people ride in the left lane...very disrespectful in my opinion

    Nada yet, just a Bestop
NJ law as well as other states read; (STAY RIGHT, PASS LEFT). But there are those who
    1. Can't read
    2. Don't care
    3. Want to play left lane dictator and set the speed limit for the entire highway
Europeans drive safely (and legally on the Autobahn) at 100 + mph following this simple, common sense rule.

You know who I hate almost as much as the slow guy in the left lane?

The DB that keeps trying pass me on the right while I wait for the slowboat in front of me to get over. Really? Can't you see we're IN the left lane so we can go faster ourselves? And then he gets mad that I won't brake to let him in?!?

Ok.....I feel better. Until my next roadtrip that is.....;)

... then you are wrong, the law states, STAY RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS, so spending more than a minute or two in the left lane is just wrong. MOVE RIGHT!

I call the left lane the fastER lane. Doesn't matter what you are driving, move right. Love driving in Germany where the almost unanimously obey the laws for driving. They also have to pay alot for driving school to get their license, unlike here in the USA.

A little of this and a little of that.

This is the key difference. Education. Unfortunately it's not a priority in the state I currently live in. If you ever get to Atlanta you'll be able to experience traffic chaos. I hope it's not raining when you're here. :D

The Left Lane is for passing... not for being a douche or speeding, or whatever other excuse you want to use to continue driving in the Left Lane.

If you speed and cruise in the Left Lane, you completely misunderstand what the Lane is for. Get over in the Right Lane until you need to pass someone and when you are passing them try to keep it close to the Speed Limit and within a safe following distance.

In Colorado, it is faster to drive in the Slow Lane, because no one wants to drive in the Slow Lane.

You'd get me downshifting into 3rd on you pretty quick. If I'm doing 10-20+ over in the left and you roll up like a fuck nut with your highbeams you better have a burn victim or a pregnant woman calving in the back. I may not be an officer of the law, but I'm willing to bet when they show up I know a few of them by name from working with them...

    @kraziesj

Here in az with the massive ammounts of immigrations of every race, many do not comprehend the laws and limits of the roads. I will never get close to intimidate or use brights unless your doing 40 or less in a 65+, whih happens a lot on the highways here. On city streets ill never do 5 over the posted 45, but if your going 20, which is common, your going to piss me off fast.

Make sence? If your doing +5/-5 of the speed limit your fine.

Generally I stay in the slow lane, pass in fast. In some ircumstances ill cruise in fast cause, I'm well faster then slow traffic, and depending on the stretch of road can be aaaalot of cars.

Hope I cleared a few things up.

I will admit that in open flat straight highway I like to go 80, I don't feel its to fast/dangerous, but I rarely get that as cars whom feel 55 in a 75 are prevelant.
