Does anybody know if the pictures of the spacers I posted are the correct ones?

I need to know before installing the driver's side...

    Got it.

I rotated the strut 180 degrees like you said but my coil came unseated and it took some muscling to get back in its pocket.

Ok so I had similar issues when I put this on my 2011. I ended up bending the brake line bracket slightly to the side so it wouldn't contact anything. And as for the brake line it's self I wrapped it as to ensure there would be no unwanted wear on it since I am no longer able to use he bracket.

As for getting the strut back in it took two of us, some serious finagling and one person lifting everything out of the way.

The spacer you have is the same I got for my 5 lug. They also only gave me 6 lug instructions too and when icalled they said that's the only directions they have a printed copy of.

Well I finally finished the installation on my truck.

The end of the driver's side coil actually got stuck in the little valley in the middle of the pocket that holds the strut. I just ended up taking the whole strut off again and proceeded to just beat the hell out of the coil with a rubber mallot until the spring went back into the pocket.

I will take some pictures of both sides as soon as my new wheels and tires arrive. (That is when I will recheck everything)

I test drove the truck with the stock wheels and the only binding issue was the bottom of the coil pocket was touching the UCA only when the suspension was fully drooped out (on jackstands)

Well I did have a problem getting the lower strut bolt on the driver's side.

I just used a screwdriver with ample girth, and used that to hold the strut in line with the holes on the LCA and slid the bolt in as I removed the screwdriver from the hole.

Is that kind of the issue you're having?

Yes for the front at least.

I am doing a "Cali" lift for now and I will see how I like it with the new 31's.
I have the rear AAL in hand just in case I need it though.:D

I do have to trim the blackbox out of the front fenderwells in order to clear the 31's. Does anybody have any pointers regarding that?

i hated the bro lean even with my 235/75/15s. its rediculous how it sits. I love how the AAL made it alittle stiffer on the ride in the rear. Can't wait to get the TC UCA lift kit and my truck will be perfect

Well you're from Georgia so that might explain why you despise the "Cali" lift.

But I don't want the rear to get stiffer than it is or start squeaking on me.

I will post pics of the truck tomorrow after a good wash and wax, then give me your opinion on the "lean":D

I had an issues with the install of my fat bobs lift too. I have a 2011 5 lug double cab, and I couldn't get the lift to work. The UCA would rub on the springs and I couldn't find a way to fix the problem. I brought it in to a 4wheelparts to see if they could get it to work and still no luck. How did you fix your problem with the kit?

Hmmm... Well my lower spring pocket(the place where the spring rests) rubs on the UCA when the suspension is fully drooped out but I don't push the truck hard enough to cause that to happen.

Did you rotate the shock without rotating the spring?

i just installed the fat bob lift on my 2010 tacoma 5 lug 2 days ago. i have to say this is a cheap POS lift. after putting the front on, there was barely any clearance between the strut and the LCA and put a lot of tension on the brake line. the spacer lift barely gave me 1" which still wasnt enough to clear the 31" tires (the whole reason for me getting this lift in the first place). after putting on the rear AAL, it gave me no lift what so ever. the rear just got real stiff (which i guess isnt all that bad). the U bolts fat bob supplied were significantly thinner then the factory ones and the nuts stripped the threading just by releasing the pressure off the leaf springs.
overall, this is a shit lift with really cheap parts.I should have gone with the ready lift

I have been reading this post about the Fat Bobs lift and the trouble you guys are having. I installed one on my 5 lug access and had no problems. One thing I saw on one of the posts is the strut is in wrong. The brake line bracket should be facing out. You have to turn the top of the strut 180 degrees not the whole strut. And the best way to get the strut in at the bottom is to remove the nuts from the sway bar links and then reattach the sway bar after it has wheels on and sitting on ground. Also dont forget to cut the one long top strut mount bolt off below the top of the spacer. The one that is longer than the other 2. Questions PM me.
