No, I signed some notarized paper about indulging in the gods drink of choice when I started the police academy.

I feel great today, I felt great yesterday to.Wednesday I spent an hour with my trainer going over my food we made some big changes and wow it seems to be working for My energy level. Went on a 5k run today. And did it at a 7:40 per mile pace. I normally do an 8:06 pace. That was also after I spent 30 minutes on the stair climber. The scale has me down another pound from Wednesday I am sure this is water weight since i have been pounding the water like crazy. Anyway I hope this new food keeps making me feel like this

The correct clean food will keep ur energy levels elevated. It's like fuel for your truck. Put in clean, good fuel and it'll run...just like clean food for the body.

Great job on the mile. Hell, when I was a runner I think my best time was 6mins something...now? Prob around 10+ if I ever had to run lol

Got a question for you guys....

I'm not a fitness buff but I go to the gym twice a week and work on the weight lifting machines just to stay limber (so I can walk when I'm 80) :p I also get on the treadmill, elliptical, bike, etc.

Every time I do butterflies (???) chest exercises, my muscles hurt (which is normal) and they hurt 'to the touch' (which is understandable) but I also get another weird sensation.......

It's like a 'heart chest pain' - or the type of pain / uncomfortable feeling when you have indigestion.....

This all goes away when the muscles are healed and no longer hurt....

But what the heck? Am I pushing it too hard? Is it because the muscles are close to the heart? Should I stop doing these exercises?

Sorry.....I'm a girl of good health (low blood pressure, low blood sugar, 200 cholesterol, etc).

    how do yall stay motivated?

i was very motivated when i had about 4-5 firefighters coming in with me, but now everyone has been making up excuses not to come or hang out for the last 3 weeks and it pisses me off

I still go but my workouts have been getting abreviated from frustration/lack of motivation

all of them quit training with me, hanging with me or working out and its always a crappy excuse like one of the 5 today, hey man you comin or not, he replied with naw man forgot my shorts at the house i told him i had a pair and then he quickly comes up with another freakin excuse!

ugh sorry just ranting cause this shit pisses me off

Results keep me motivated. U need motivation? So did homeboy who competed next to me with ONE leg. Kick yourself in the fucking ass or someone else will!

...I know, trust me, sometimes it hard to keep going, but dedication is moving forward without giving up.

So i figured out that I even though I still feel young I can not do the things I use to. I stayed up for 30 hours straight on Sunday night and on into Monday. I then slept for 5 hours got up and went to the gym. I just had nothing to give when i was there. I made it about 40 minutes and that was it, I went home rested and even though i slept good last night I still am wornout today. So i did a lite cardio day and that still hurt. I am not sure what staying up did to me but man I have just had nothing for 2 days. I hope tomorrow will be better. I have really pounded down the food today and have been Hungary all day.

On a good not I am now down about 1.5 pounds since I changed my food on Thursday. I have been hitting my percentages every day on my food. I am really watching my fat intake.

Good man! U can try playing with the ratios. Some people respond better to lower fat, moderate carbs, high protein and others just the opposite.

Hey Sean, how do I hit the middle traps and rombus (sp?)? I have good peaks on top of my shoulders, but I want the beastly buldges above the shoulder blades on the upper back. I have been hitting rows and the hammer hmachine for the high row, but they are slow to grow in size. Shrugs just seem to work the top of the trap for me. I really want this as I think it really makes you look beastly when you have that V taper from the side view too.

Lat pull downs at an angle and bring bar to ur neck

Sitting rows - bring bar to the neck

    Behind the back shrugs

    Reverse db raises

...mine is a struggling point to. Damn muscle just doesn't want to respond the way I want it to

Do upright rows to help hit that area. Proper form, close grip, lead with the elbows, bar close to the body through the full range of motion.

It mostly works shoulders but does add a bit of thickness to the upper back.
