No but it cant hurt. The real advantage will be that it will add alot of tunability because I plan to use a secondary shock with adjustment.

Gotcha. Thats how I figured the 98-00's would be with the longer frame ends.

I was browsing Kijiji the other day (never a good idea) and came across a guy selling a brand new TRD supercharger for $2500. Met up with him today and picked it up. I plan on getting the URD 7th injector, Level 10 trans shift kit, and trans cooler before i install it. Probably be spring/summer before it goes in. Not looking forward to premium gas but the truck isn't my daily anymore so that won't be too bad.

Nothing like a bitched up drain plug. Even the 10mm internal hex plug?

That's the one. That's what I get for using the wrong size wrench on it (in it?) in the past. Not the first time I will have had to weld an allen key to a stuck bolt.

Oh please, like you have never fucked up a bolt before. After 100k and this being the fourth removal of the bolt, I don't think I did too bad.

It has been a very very long time. It was more aimed at your "wrong size wrench." I was more surprised is was the internal one, rather than the ridiculously thin-headed external ones that seem to enjoy welding themselves on and provide so little surface area to lean a wrench on without slipping. I've almost shit myself trygin to get some off with a breaker bar and pipe helper, but those were always ones that someone else had put on (probabaly not torqued or with the correct crush washer) or had never ever been off.

I think the first time I took it out, I used a SAE wrench which was a touch too small. It has gotten worse over the past several years even though I have the proper size now. Never had an issue with the thin headed ones, the come off pretty easily on both the rear axle and transfer case. I have had to dig some pieces of rock out of the collar around the rear diff drain on a few occasions though.
