    Hi Guys,

I just lifted my 08 dblcab offroad with Icon Extended travel on front and Icon rear + All Pro Standard Leaf. I am really happy with the height and feel except I have the vibes, shimmers etc.
hopefully you guys can help w/questions.

    1. Will the Toytec 3 degree leaf shim leave me with enough room for the Nub on the bottom of the leafs to pop back into place with a safe amount in the hole?

    2. If not, and I need to take out the centerpin, is there enough length to add a spacer sleeve to extend the centerpin nub? The Allpro nub is 3/8" and the left over thread on top of the leaf is 3/8". Also, what size spacer is needed? 3/8"?

    3. Can I take out the centerpin without taking everything apart. Can I just take off U bolts and drop and slide axle away with enough room to pull the centerpin?

    thanks 00

I would try dropping the Carrier Bearing first.

If the AllPro pack is anything like the Dakars , the centre pin stud is not quite long enough to allow you to insert the axle shims and still have any stud length to seat the leaf pack into the axle .

You need to add a centre pin collar , generally 3/8" .

I would have bought the Dakars (ARB) - there is a huge difference between the quality and research that goes into the two.

I dropped the carrier by about 1/4" already. Small change in vibe if any at all.

The center pin extension is about 3/16" long which seems to be enough for a 3* shim.

Here's another option for the CB drop :

Let me rephrase the question .

How far does the centre pin project out of the leaf pack , 3/8 - 1/2" ?

Before the lift I had a high frequency vibe from 20-25 and another at 62mph.

After the lift with torque applied from start and while slowing with no brake applied.

I am not really worried about the vibes necessarily... I have not replaced wheels and tires yet and have not aligned. I do understand that I have alignment vibrations etc but not all the vibes are coming from the alignment issue. Wheels and tires are coming by this weekend!

    Will Shim fit?
Can I pull the center pin without taking off the entire rear leaf?
    Help?

    Should be able to.
Keep an eye on you brake lines as you lower the axle for clearance.
    You may have to disconnect.
Get clamps on the leaf pack.

You will need extension collars to run shims

Does anyone know if the centerpin is threaded all the way through to the nub? If so, can I space with a simple nut?

OP , check out this thread , it is Dakars but applies to you situation as far as the collars go

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2839336

If you extend with a nut , you need to make sure the nut head will fit in the slot of the axle shim .
