    They are usually used on top of some type of lift coil or lets say that you already have a 2.5 inch spacer between ur coils and top plate these go on top of the top plate to give you that little extra lift. But thanks for the no research jack wagon question.

    People also use them if they have the "taco lean", meaning the driver side sits a tad bit lower than the passenger. They can usually level out their truck w/out spending a lot or increasing the angles of their CV's too much.
