Just an FYI this IS a rebuilding year. We got rid of 50% of our team including the captain.

We didn't choke one bit and I'm not embarrassed at all. Hell I would bet anyone in here that watched the winter classic would agree that we outplayed the Rangers for the majority of the game. The first period the Flyers outplayed the Rangers as well as 80% of the second and the third fell to the shitbag scumbucket douchecanoes. I have pride in my team and I'm personally willing to take a hit when they loose....not some fair weather fan like you who refuses to make a simple bet.

How are the Flyers in a rebuild? They got rid of Carter/Richards to clear cap space for the humangous beeg goalie contract they took on. They chose to spend money in a different department, that's all.

 

So getting rid of 3 of 4 top scorers (Richards, Gange, Carter) and many others I don't feel like listing and getting a new goalie isn't a re-build year?

Then what is rebuilding by your definition? I would love to know

 

they dumped those players because team wasn't balanced. they made way for giroux as they knew he would be the future and the hole was goaltending...and obviously still is.

rebuilding is edmonton or islanders...or chicago a few years ago

They went a DIFFERENT DIRECTION... what don't you understand? The team you're a fan of has a GM named Holmgren, you know this right? That same Holmgren said back in June they were going a diffferent way. If your team now has a goalie that can stop more goals (hopefully), you shouldn't need all of those goal scorers.

Besides, what else did the Flyers have on their roster that looked appealing to other teams?

Another thing that would point to a rebuild year for a team would be your team's payroll at or close to the salary cap floor which is $48.3 million. Where are your Flyers?

At the beginning of the season when you don't know 1/2 of the players names we are "heading another direction" not rebuilding cause you can't rebuild with older players - they are ALWAYS younger
