If you have any questions in regards to medic training shoot me a PM , I am a medic in the Army

Yeah CLS is a mandatory 2 day class for anyone going through Basic Training , however ACLS is the class most people try to get before deploying . I teach CLS classes :D

amazing how much protocols differ throughout different areas.

Here in the county where I live in (where I trained as a medic), they dont even carry Zofran...if someone has N/V...we tell them to tough it out till we get to the ER :D

When I was in CA for my practical, I was talking to others who were taking their pratical. I can give Zofran like it's candy. I can RSI when it's needed, and versed the fuck out of dumb shits if I document it well enough.

CA medics (bay area) couldn't give Zofran, couldn't RSI (they said if someone needed an airway they had to give them diesel therapy or just BVM them. If someone is crashing and needs an airway, I'm gonna RSI them to protect that airway. I feel that is a basic necessity.

We dont have RSI (only the flight medics can RSI) But we have Etomidate/Ativan to concious sedate. But if the patient it clenching he's fucked till the rotor wing lands...unless we are close enough to a receiving facility.
