    I took the 8 last year. That was too far. This year I'm going to take the 78 to Ocotillo Wells and cut over on Split Mt rd. It's easier if you are coming through riverside county.

    If my truck is wheel-able by then, I'm curious about the route that follows the train tracks from Ocotillo Wells SVRA to Superstition. Is this the same route that you're talking of? Any idea if it's possible in 2WD?
