I can change the oil myself in less time than just driving to the dealer.
Also, I'll know what was done to it.

Checked out the link but can't seem to find a part listing for the 2012 V6.
Might of missed something but what is the Toyota part number for the oil filter for the 2012 V6?

Look under the 90915-YZZD3-10 part number. It lists "2005-2012 Tacoma".
The "D3" is for V6 and the "D1" is for the 4 cyl.

That's my motto just because the dealer does it " $8.00 a hour grease monkey " I will do it my self. Dont trust them, I ordered a fumoto valve I will pick up my trusty Mobil one and a purolator filter.

I just paid about 8 bucks for one filter in Boise Idaho at the dealer off of Fairview Ave. Guess I was robbed, I remember getting my last one in SLC for 3.50:confused:

Oh well, still worth it to do it right!

Was quoted at $5.37 each when I buy a case of ten. Seemed high. I usually run Mobil One filters and oil. I have found the Syn Oil to be a waste of money since I change at 3k miles. The oil filters are GTG.

    What about Toyotapartsbarn. $4.00 each.........

Getting ready for my first oil change. Is there a separate part number for the washer?
