Tellico to close

Tellico is EASILY the best wheeling to be had on the east coast...and its been slowly diminished over the past couple years with some trail closures as a concession to the Forest Service and such...

There are several courses of action theyre considering, however they prefer to notion of permanently and completely closing Tellico

This could be a HUGE blow to the sport of 4wheeling

 

this is a BIG loss too...the fight has been going on for awhile now and there have been a lot of concessions back and forth...theres a lot of emotion tied up in this one too i think

 

i understand that...and temporary closures of heavily eroded trails would be fine and a good idea...but entire permanent closure of the park is bad...i think anyways...

from what i can tell is that one side has presented evidence (the trout people) saying that the sediment is messing up the river...and the other side (S4WDA) has presented evidence to the contrary...


and timmer...i dont necessarily have the funds to toss to all the organizations...though i do contribute to TL...i do however take the time to share things like this so people can get involved and i write letters when i can...

i would go up there for the rallies etc...but a 7-8 hr drive when i only have 2 days a week to get stuff done around the house is not feasible...
