i thought this would be a good thread to post this on since alot of people with long travel have rear fenders from glassworks unlimited.

i bought fenders from glassworks unlimited. i put the front on no problem. i just had to unbolt the original fenders and drill some holes then bolt the new fender flares on.

im stuck on the back ones now. im not to sure how to put them on. i know i have to cut the old fenders off. does anyone have a write up on it or know where i can get some directions. the best i have found is. http://www.desertrides.com/reference/tacoma_bedside.php
do i just do this or is it different for a 2002?

i am not sure were to cut the stock fenders back to. and would like to look at some pictures and someones write up.
you can post on here or PM me.

check out this article. you dont have to remove the bed if you dont want to. you'll want to add some lower supports to the frame as well... here's some pics of mine

I just did mine a few weeks ago and did not remove the bed. I just used a grinder and cut the bedsides off. IMO it is way faster than drilling out the spot welds. Just cut them off, test fit, and keep cutting until they fit right

^^^ pretty bad ass actually! would be cool to see what they do with that build if its for the TRD team at toyota. im still a fan of a solid rear axle and trailing arms but to each their own i guess.

Interesting! I'm no LT guru but wouldn't it perform better this way with the rear set up like that?

rad looking either way for sure. its funny to see all these companys toss tons and tons into sema cars for no reason. last car shop i worked at did just that. we built 2 cars a year for sema and i can tell you that not one of the concepts was used.... such a waste.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a waste. Production comes from concepts, and concepts from innovation. If everybody did the same tried and true desings nothing new would ever be developed. Sure when it comes to SEMA some stuff is just to show off. But hey, if you got the money and the manpower.....

compared to a leaf set up i would have to agree. that coilover is going to be a lot better ride than a leaf. wouldn't hang with links though
