Definatelly don't see too many of those around anymore so take care of it. I had a few 84-88 4X4's and 5 lugs through the years and I would have to say my 87 XCab was my favorite. I wish I still had it.

Thanks man! I really like the look of your truck. It does really well, fits behind my passenger side of the bench and can rattle the truck pretty well. Definitely is a good fit for a small area. I have my sub volume at 0 on my radio also. If it was maybe an inch or two shorter in length it would be perfect, but it sits a little unleveled because of the floor of the cab.

Thanks man. My truck needs a bit more work done to it till she's finished.

I bet it does good in your truck. I hear the Kicker's that size in that style are really good for the money. I've got 2 Rockford 10's in my truck and it does great. What size amp you got pushing it? (my apologies, I looked at the first page then came to the last page to post)

I have the same problem. I need to do quite a bit more work, mostly routine maintenance, til my truck is all buttoned up.

Not a problem man. I have a Kenwood 350 watt amp pushing it. RMS on the sub and amp (bridged) are both 150 watts so it works out well. Running it off a Sony Xplod head unit with some decent tuning abilities. I also have a 1.2 farad capacitor in there. What size amp are you running?

    Well it goes like this:

    Subs
    2 Rockford Fosgate Punch P2's
    Amp
Rockford Fosgate 1000 Watt (bridged to the two as well)

That's the setup. I was looking at a Sony Xplod amp for the sub in my car. I think it was a 400 watt. Would be plenty for my Memphis 10. So the Kenwood pushes it fine? Do you feel the sub is getting enough power?

Yea I would say the Kenwood is pushing it nicely. I havent beat on the sub too much since I got it for Christmas and want to make sure it's broken in before I do. I know with my older 12 that was an older Kicker Comp it was being pushed fine. I have a friend with an alpine amp thats 350 RMS and it was hooked up to my old kicker (just got a new JL) and had the gain turned down pretty low and it hit really nicely

I wish I could afford to have gotten a JL W7 for my car. But I couldn't see paying the money for one of those for in the end everything in my car would rattle just going down the road. So I settled for a Memphis. I really need a new box for it, and a new amp. I put it in a straight through tube and it sounds like crap. Was going to get one custom made for it.

What other plans you got for the truck?

Yea I hear ya, my corolla rattled a ton when I had it. I would get on crutchfield.com email list. They send out discount emails all the time, and they have great service there. I bought my radio and capacitor there.

Other plans for the truck, frame patches, cab patch, wheel well rust taken care of, shifter knobs (transmission and transfer case), timing belt, accessory belts, valve cover gaskets, plenum gasket, ebrake cables, fix up the bed, possibly tint, license plate light, 2 off road lights, new driveshaft possibly. All I can think of right now. What about for yours?

Sounds good. I think one of the biggest things you can do for any vehicle for looks that will totally change the look of it is to tint the windows, so I say go for it!

    Plans for mine:

Front and Rear bumpers (starting to rust ) Nothing too big really. I've got both designed up on my computer. I want them to be a little bulky but not too bad. The rear bumper is starting to look a little shoddy so I need to get it taken care of here soon. The front can wait for now. I bought 2 more lights today to go on my light bar. Need to get them put on and wired up tomorrow.

Along with those I'd like to get some sliders made up to go with the bumpers. I have a guy that does metal work, so I'm gonna give him my designs and let him use them to make them (bumpers and sliders).

Other than that, probably replace shocks eventually when they need it. Other than that I'm just about done.

Nice! gonna look good when it's all done. I might get some skids done up at some point. The only thing is up here I don't think I can have tint on my front windows :( but I'll have to double check. I was gonna lift mine, but I'm gonna keep it the way it is since it sits about an inch more than before, went from a 235/75 to a 31x10.5. (29 to a 31). What kind of lights did you get?

Yeah, tint here is weird. Each state is different. I've got 20% on the back and 35% on the front. My car I have had 20% all the way around and it didn't pass inspection so I had to put 35% on the front. I'd like to lift mine slightly but meh...I like it they way it is. Get a little bit of armor on it and some more aggressive tires and I'll be set.

It looks good either way. I like how my wheel wells are filled up by my 31's so I'm gonna stay like this for now. Once I get another car for daily driving I might look into lifting and bigger tires but for now its staying. Especially since there are more important things to deal with than a lift.
