anyone ever turn their older ARB version 2nd gen bumper "turn signals" into fog lights or running lights that have light output?

bumper i'm talking about showing the amber "turn signals" that i want to make into usable running lights or fog lights

I do have some extra hella 75 fogs hanging around but they do not have side mounts that the ARB has, and i'm not a metal fabricators to make usable mounts to make the hellas work...

    any ideas?

I just installed the same bumper on my '11, and I'm looking for a similar option. The turn signal is a rectangular light that sits back from the face of bumper. I don't think it would be too hard to rig up another rectangular flat lense light to fit in that spot. If you find something that works let me know, and I'll do the same.

just got an email back from ARB on my options and he said there is no option they will recommend for replacement light housings, but the bulb is a standard 1156...

i am looking at getting an LED replacement bulb to help with the output for now...

    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lighting...436&t_pt=8725&t_pl=102125&t_pn=PUT231156W-360

    or these

    http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Automotive-White-Super-1156/dp/B002GZ6Y66

as far as being able to install an actual fog light into that location, i'd love to have a mount that would fit my hella in there!

picked up some cheap LED replacement 1156 off Amazon for now to see how they do in the housings with the light output...

but thanks for the photo finding on that fog light mod!

definitely curious to see if anyone else has done something similar or made brackets to fit rectangular fogs into the indicator hole...

are you talking about something like this? i swapped out all the bulbs on the truck in favor of putco leds it worked out really great.

they are really bright even in direct sunlight. i believe the reason for this is they sit so close to the lens in the arb turn signal housing. the pic of my truck in the daylight they are obviously off but, you can see the end of the new led bulb plain as day. there is a little clearance in there so nothing touches but it's tight which is actually a good thing in this case.

for this little housing i went with a 360 degree style led bulb so it lights up the housing and has the diodes facing forward as well.

Back from the dead. Anyone have any more information on doing something similar with the first gen ARB bumpers?

Bump, wondering the same thing. Or if it's possible to cut out the bumper turn lights and use their deluxe fog light kit insert in its place?

Same here i was thinking on fabbing up or having some one fab up a bracket that bolts onto where the turn signals bolt upto. and use a 3 led light bar there the width of the opening.

Rock sliders, bedliner, intake, turn signal mod, ARB front bumper, All-Pro Off-Road Pre-Runner Rear Bumper, Smittybilt X2O COMP wench (pun intended) W/Synthetic Rope, snorkel, OME 883'S, BILSTEIN 5100'S F/R, air bags, big 4,more to come.
Reviving this from the dead. I got some small lamps from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CZ5K61W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) to fill those turn signal spots in. I shimmed both sides (7 washers outside and 6 inside) to get them straight and wired them into my running lights, which I may rewire into my off road lights but these help with those lesser bright headlights. They don't seem to be to bad for oncoming with the shimming and they aren't super bright like some, almost just right.

I ran a Philips Daylight 4 LED DRL kit in my ARB.

It was brighter in person than in photos. I believe they've come up with new / improved versions as this was from 2014-2015.
