    I do not think there was unleaded in 66. Unleaded did not become available at all stations till around 69 or 70. I am guessing here. Please correct me if I am wrong. I would not want the younguns to get the wrong information. ;)

    Unleaded, back then, meant the lead in the hydrocarbon molecule was replaced with nickel. Nickel cost more and the price of unleaded was more expensive or so the marketing hype went back then.

    Mornin' Tom, the unleaded was added as a trick question for the youngsters to see if they could pick up on it...unleaded was used around 1975...In New York where I lived my first pay job was a pump jockey and it was 29.9 a gallon...how times have changed...Ken

    My dad told me I was going in the USN or AF. Was in GREAT LAKES when I got mine for the Army. Dad spent 30 years in the Army and said RVN was a suckers game, He shit when I told him I was going on the PBR's. We went round and round but I had to go all my pals from high school were there but one. :cool: Jim
