According to Ivan Stewart it had better handling in the turns. He lost time to linked trucks in the deep stuff but more than made it up on the flat stuff. IIRC I read somewhere he was doing 140mph on the fire type roads

IRS is will always win out in the handling in corners no doubt about that

Its sad that nobody runs that kind of set-up anymore

TSA has the HPI truck that is IRS, although it is not very competitive it's a neat idea.

No shit? I just got my refund back from Firestone for my lifetime alignment. LOL.

Which one you planning on going to? Both the one in Cambell and the one on Tully looked at my truck and said fuck off. The one in Milpitas screwed the alignment up more than they helped it. I was going to the one in Mountain View cause it was close to my old job and they did a good enough job, but I'm not driving over there every fucking time I need an alignment. In the end they just refunded it in full even though I had like 6 alignments.

Currently I'm on to WheelWorks with their 1 year warrenty aligment.

I'd be willing to pay it too. I have a hard time finding a place where they comprehend what it is I want them to do, let alone understand English. Is positive caster too fucking hard to understand? I mean really?

Just do it yourself. I did mine last weekend with a plumb bob, tape measure, and some common sense and it drives better than ever. I also tack welded the alignment cams in place so I don't have to do it again every couple months.

Well i have the required tools, but I might need a bit more info than that. I can get my camber and caster set the way I want but I can never seem to get the toe right. If you've got a link or something, I'm all for it.

For toe, I just measured the distance between the rear of the tires and the front. I jacked it up and spun the tire while using a nail as a scribe to get an accurate vertical line in the tire as a measuring point, centered the steering wheel, then adjusted the tie rods keeping everything centered. Obviously do toe after all other adjustments, and when the front side of the tires measure 1/4" less than the rear you are good to go. I set mine up with 0* of toe so it corners better in the dirt, but it will wander a little and is not advisable if you are a tard. My steering wheel is centered, and it corners like it's on rails.
