Outer ring seal on cv axle

    Anybody know where I can find that metal sealing ring on a front cv axle? I accidentally lost one when replacing my cv axle and the new one didn't come with one

    Wait, did you lose the boot clamp, or the actual oil seal that nests in the diff housing?


    Just use a hose clamp. $2 for a 4 pack at Lowe's Depot.

    Protip: Once you get 'em back on the vehicle, check for clearance for the adjustment screw....make sure it can rotate fully with the axle articulated through it's full range without hittin' anything.

    No I lost the the metal ring seal that I believe is supposed to keep trash out of the hub area
